This position is full-time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work on call as required after hours, occasional overtime, and weekends on a rotating basis. Our office is located at 9984 Premier Pkwy, Miramar, FL, 33025.
We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST from Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted on-site.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for other team members
- Manage the intake of members or the admission / discharge information post notification
- Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services
- Manage the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
- Resolve inquiries from members and / or providers
Part of the challenge here is dealing positively with members and providers in sometimes challenging circumstances. As a subject matter expert, you’ll also be the “go-to” resource for information. The flexibility to work evening hours will also be required.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED and / OR equivalent work experience
- 1+ years of experience with onboarding patient in a medical setting
- Experience with verifying health insurance and benefits
- Experience with utilizing Microsoft Word (ability to create, edit, save, and send documents) and Microsoft Excel (ability to create, edit, save, and send spreadsheets)
- Reside within 20 miles from 9984 Premier Pkwy, Miramar, FL, 33025
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
- Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST from Monday - Friday
- Ability to work on call as required after hours, occasional overtime, and weekends on a rotating basis based on business need
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications:
- ICD 10 and CPT codes knowledge
- Experience in working with health care insurance
- Experience in a hospital, physician's office, OR medical clinic setting
- Clerical OR administrative support background OR experience with working in a call center environment
- Experience in working with Medicare and / OR Medicaid Services
