Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Admissions Director to lead our intake department. The Admissions Director will play a crucial role in overseeing the intake process, coordinating referrals, and ensuring a seamless transition for clients into our home health services. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of home health regulations, OPWDD ages 5-18 case management exeperience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Certified home-care experience is a PLUS.
Responsibilities:
Intake Coordination: Manage the intake process, including receiving and reviewing referrals, verifying eligibility, and coordinating assessments with clinical staff.
Supervision of Intake Specialists: Provide leadership and guidance to the intake specialists, ensuring their adherence to protocols, timely response to referrals, and accurate documentation.
Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all intake documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements. Stay current on industry regulations and updates.
Communication: Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate the intake process. Maintain clear communication channels with internal departments.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to facilitate a smooth transition for clients from intake to the initiation of home health services.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures to monitor and enhance the efficiency of the intake process. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Training and Development: Provide training to staff involved in the intake process, ensuring they are well-versed in policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
Certified Home Health or CHHA Experience strongly preferred
Operations management experience
Strong knowledge of home health regulations and compliance standards
OPWDD ages 5-18 case management experience
Strong work ethic and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in relevant software applications such as Home Care Home Base and electronic medical records (EMR)
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
