Job Overview - Clinical Adult Psychologist:
We are seeking a Clinical Adult Psychologist licensed to practice in New York to join our team. This full-time position focuses on conducting Psychological Assessments for public assistance recipients with medical and/or psychological barriers to self-sufficiency. This role involves evaluations and recommendations, not providing mental health treatment or therapy.
Location: Manhattan, NY
Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000/year
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities of the Clinical Adult Psychologist:
- Conduct Evaluations: Administer psychological evaluations, mental health screenings, and gather information for social histories.
- Reporting: Write and submit comprehensive evaluation reports and social histories timely.
- Recommendations: Provide recommendations for Functional Capacity Outcomes (FCO) based on clinical evaluations.
- Collaboration: Participate in team meetings to improve assessment processes and coordinate care.
- Training & Compliance: Complete required training and adhere to policies and procedures.
- Language Proficiency: Conduct evaluations in the client's primary language, using an interpreter if necessary.
- Licensing: NYS Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
- Experience: 3 years experience in medical evaluations for functional capacity determinations preferred; experience with evaluations acceptable.
- Skills: Excellent time management, superior communication skills, particularly with diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
- Additional Experience: Experience with publicly-funded programs preferred; TANF experience is a plus. Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.
