Position Summary
The Clinical Applications Administrator is responsible for the ongoing support of NYUCD's Electronic Health Record system, Practice Management System, PACS, and all other related clinical applications that together comprise or support the longitudinal patient record. Responsibilities include application installation and integration; application configuration; application upgrades and patching; application troubleshooting; application security; application security access management; and application monitoring, backup and recovery. The Clinical Applications Administrator is also responsible for report design, development and implementation.Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Bachelor's Degree in Medical Informatics or Computer ScienceRequired Experience:3+ years experience in Information Systems, Business Administration or related field with specialization in electronic data processing, programming, systems analysis, and system design, or equivalent.Preferred Experience:In-depth understanding of axiUm Enterprise dental system and dentistry concepts.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Experience with principal administration of enterprise Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (e.g. axiUm Enterprise, Dentrix Enterprise, Sunrise, Epic, Cerner, etc) and related systems such as Medical Imaging (e.g. PACS, Dolphin, SimPlant), Practice Management and Billing systems in a medical setting. Familiarity with Crystal Reports, ORACLE PLSQL and ORACLE DB concepts. Detail oriented and highly accurate.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Thorough understanding of application in an enterprise environment. Knowledge of data communications processes and network design. Knowledge of principles, practices, terminology, and trends in application software. Ability to perform systems analysis work of considerable complexity. Knowledge of client/server environment. Knowledge of database and distribution systems. Ability to coordinate different requirements for multiple School departments. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other School departments and software vendors. Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information in a manner consistent with the essential job functions. Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions. Solid working knowledge of Crystal Reports Development.Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $104,000.00 to USD $124,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
