Program Information
The School of Biomedical Sciences and Health Care Administration offers programs in Biomedical Sciences and Health Care Administration. The Biomedical Sciences programs focus on the detection, diagnosis and treatment of diseases across all systems and parts of the human body through laboratory-based testing and diagnostic imaging.
Job Summary
Working in coordination with the Radiologic Technology Program Director in the Diagnostic Medical Imaging programs, the Diagnostic Medical Sonography ( DMS ) Education Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the Sonography affiliate programs and for instruction of assigned courses.
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography ( DMS ) Education Coordinator is a 50% (12-month) position that will spend half of their time focused on duties related to Education Coordination such as liaising with Clinical Affiliates and Program Advisor; scheduling classes for each semester for affiliate programs; participating in recruitment; updating DMS application materials and Canvas application site.
In addition, the Diagnostic Medical Sonography ( DMS ) Education Coordinator is also responsible for preparing and maintaining course outlines and objectives, instructing students and evaluating their assignments and progress. Additionally, they will be required to maintain proficiency in new technologies and instructional methodology through continuing professional development.
Minimum Qualifications
+ At least two years full-time clinical experience as a sonographer.
+ Graduate of an accredited Sonography program.
+ Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer ( RDMS ) credential or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer ( RDCS ) credential.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree.
+ Registered Radiologic Technologists ( ARRT ).
+ Five years full-time clinical experience as a sonographer.
+ Experience in supervision, instruction, and evaluation of student radiographers in the clinical setting.
+ Teaching experience.
Target Salary Range This is a 50% FTE, 12-month position. Final salary offers contingent upon skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to the position.
