Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive hearing evaluations, fitting and programming hearing aids, and providing ongoing patient support.
Responsibilities
- Providing a full range of audiological hearing evaluation and diagnostics to adult patients.
- Performing comprehensive audiological evaluations, speech in noise tests, MCL and UCL tests, speech reception threshold, and word recognition tests.
- Performing and interpreting Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emission Screenings (DPOAEs).
- Interpreting and reporting test results to determine hearing loss, type, and degree, both in written and verbal form.
- Counseling and recommending appropriate treatment plans for the patient.
- Fitting and programming hearing aids based on diagnostic findings and patient needs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree and/or Doctorate in Audiology, licensed in Illinois (or ability to obtain licensure).
- Ability to prioritize and handle a full schedule of patients.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
