About the Job
Located in Huntington, WV, (a St. Mary’s Medical Center division and part of the ) has been providing comprehensive and specialized ENT services to patients of every age for over 50 years. They are searching for an additional Clinical Audiologist to join their growing team.
The Clinical Audiologist will utilize the full scope of audiology, including services for vestibular testing and rehabilitation, hearing loss, and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Providing audiological hearing evaluation and diagnostics, including but not limited to cochlear implants, pediatric hearing, and vestibular evaluation.
- Performing comprehensive audiological evaluations, speech in noise tests, MCL and UCL tests, speech reception threshold, and word recognition tests.
- Performing and interpreting Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emission Screenings (DPOAEs)
- Conducting videonystagmography (VNG) testing for patients with dizziness and balance disorders.
- Interpreting and reporting test results to determine hearing loss, type, and degree in written and verbal formats.
- Counseling and discussing appropriate treatment plans and recommendations with the patient.
- Fitting and dispensing assistive devices according to the patient’s needs or the nature of the impairment.
- Planning and conducting treatment programs for patients’ hearing problems and consulting with the physician as necessary.
Requirements
- Master’s degree and/or Doctorate in Audiology
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in West Virginia
- Experience in diagnostic audiology, hearing aid fitting, and balance therapy
- Experience with bone-anchored hearing aids, Cochlear Implants, and Earlens is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
