About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a team of Biomedical Imaging Engineers, ensuring efficient daily service and repair of designated Imaging equipment across multiple modalities.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for equipment maintenance, upgrades, and replacements.
- Collaborate with hospital administration, department heads, and vendors to ensure optimal equipment performance and clinical availability.
- Manage budget for the department, including equipment purchases, maintenance costs, and staffing.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and safety protocols.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance department efficiency and service quality.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff on new technologies and procedures.
- Analyze department performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement.
- Serve as a liaison between the engineering team, clinical staff, and hospital administration.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in medical imaging and evaluate their potential implementation.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts.
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate equipment records and documentation.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and support professional development of team members.
- Participate in hospital-wide committees related to medical technology and patient care improvement.
- Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma)
- 5-7 years of experience in biomedical imaging, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role
- Strong technical background in multiple Medical Imaging disciplines
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
