We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a leadership role as a Clinical Registered Nurse Coordinator on our Emergency Department!
Responsibilities
This professional staff person is responsible for Implementing and monitoring programs and practices for the delivery of safe and efficient quality nursing care for patients and their families. Ensuring consistent application of nursing services policies and standards throughout the organization. Monitoring patient outcomes and quality and effectiveness of nursing care. Overseeing performance of Registered Nurses and Technicians; identifying and addressing staff training and development needs. Conducts evaluations on personnel performance at the work place and recommends improvement plans. As a member of the interdisciplinary care team, the RN works collaboratively with the other members to assure the safe and accurate delivery of care. In addition, the RN performs a range of technical services in a cross-functional mode to comprehensively serve patient needs, and is the Lead in Managing and maintaining the Hospitals Trauma Program. Collaborates and communicates with all departments of the healthcare organization for the preparation for external audits.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
- American Red Cross or AHA approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- American Red Cross or AHA approved ALS/ACLS and PALS certification required within 60 days of hire.
- ENA TNCC required within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department experience in an acute care hospital setting required
