Clinical Diabetes Educator - Registered Dietitian
Location: On-site

Role Summary:
Our client is seeking a passionate and skilled Registered Dietitian Clinical Diabetes Educator to provide comprehensive diabetes care and education to patients with Type 1, Type 2, and gestational diabetes, as well as those at high risk for developing diabetes. In this role, education will be delivered through a variety of methods, including telephonic communication, video conferencing, and in-person sessions. You’ll be at the forefront of supporting patients as they navigate their diabetes management journey, ensuring they receive personalized, high-quality care.
As part of this dynamic role, you will collaborate with clinic and hospital staff to promote best practices in diabetes care. You will also assist in managing the Diabetes Registry, work closely with the Diabetes Case Manager to provide holistic care, and engage in program outreach activities such as diabetes support groups, media campaigns, and special events. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university (Master's degree preferred).
Valid Alaska RDN license, with eligibility to obtain Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification within two years of hire.
Experience working in clinical health settings is preferred, but new graduates are welcome.
Strong knowledge in diabetes care, cardiovascular disease, and public health.
Desired Qualifications:
Two years of experience in a clinical health setting.
Experience in diabetes education and cross-cultural communication, with bi-lingual skills in Yup’ik/English being a plus.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and proficiency with diabetes care equipment.
