Clinical Director - Portland, ME
The Clinical Director will report to the Executive Director and is responsible for the management and quality assurance of all clinical services provided by Liberty Bay Recovery Center, including the training of all clinical staff. The Clinical Director works closely with the Executive Director relating to the program and the clinical services provided. The Clinical Director is also part of the Senior Management Team, which supports compliance with all delivery of services to the fiscal, ethical, and legal standards upheld by the state of Maine and the core values and mission of Liberty Bay.
Requirements:
- Masters Degree in counseling, psychology, behavioral science, or equivalent field of study
- Experience providing clinical supervision in according to Maine state licensure rules and regulations
- Knowledge of recovery, mental health, and other co-occurring disorders
- Experience in working with addiction in a residential and/or intensive outpatient milieu
- Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills
- One to three years of program management experience and staff supervision, including transforming clinical staff into a highly functional team
- Experience with client billings
- Experience and confidence identifying and implementing evidence based practices
- Experience working in crisis setting with individuals and families
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Program development, evaluation, solid organizational skills, and public speaking
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially using Outlook, Word, Excel and customized databases
- Ability to work in and adapt the culture of a multi-cultural, community based organization
- Commitment to maintain confidentiality
- Understanding of the Agencys mission and culture and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with staff and clients in all circumstances
- Employment contingent upon clear UDS and criminal history record
- Good inter-personal skills
- Must be able to ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs throughout the course of a normal workday
- Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen

Responsibilities:
- Support the Executive Director in program development
- Ensure clinical services are in compliance with county, state, and federal regular agencies
- Responsible for the provision of clinical supervision for all clinical staff on clinical topics relevant to client services provided by Liberty Bay
- Provide and/or coordinate clinical trainings for all clinical staff on clinical topics relevant to the client services provided by Liberty Bay
- Review treatment plans, case notes and written correspondence in order to verify that such documents meet county, state, and federal agency standards
- Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical operations
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Quality Assurance in the development of policies and procedures relating to Liberty Bay programs
- Evaluate clinical staff annually

- Responsible for the oversight, supervision and quality assurance of all clinical services including both record keeping and direct services
- In conjunction with the Executive Director ensures adherence to the required HIPAA and documentation as identified by county, state, and federal regulatory agencies
- In collaboration with the Executive Director oversee the audit of the clinical charts to ensure adherence to county, state, and federal statutes
- In coordination with the Executive Director and related team members, facilitate team meeting on a weekly basis to ensure coordinated implementation of treatment plans and service utilization ensuring the comprehensive care of clients reflects the philosophy and objectives of Liberty Bay
- Must meet pre-employment and maintain all applicable state, national, and job-related guidelines for reference checking, background screening,10 panel urine drug screening, health screening, DMV (if applicable), insurance (if applicable), and license/credential verifications
