Job Summary
The basic function of the Clinical Director is to manage, coordinate and direct the professional staff providing patient care in accordance with State and Federal guidelines. The Clinical Director will be responsible for total oversight of our Houston branch location. The Clinical Director is responsible for daily operations of all administrative staff as well as therapists and managing target goals established by leadership.

Qualifications:
- Is a licensed Physical Therapist; Occupational Therapist; OR Speech Language Pathologist
- Has experience in medical practice management of at least 3 years
- Has training or experience in healthcare administration or at least 2 years of administrative or supervisory experience in a health care related field
Responsibilities:

The Clinical Director ensures adherence to Rise policies and procedures at all times.

The Clinical Director oversees daily operations of the entire clinic including management of staff, client care concerns, administrative functions/staff and ensures all care is provided in a spirit of excellence.

The Clinical Director manages client care complaints and client safety while on site.

The Clinical Director manages and works with leadership to reach fiscal goals set annually
- The Clinical Director is responsible for directing the scheduling of patient case review conferences in order to determine appropriate treatment as indicated by the results of the initial comprehensive patient assessment, reassessment(s), and the recommendation of the referring physician who approved the Plan of Treatment or upon the recommendation of one of the professionals providing the service.
- The Clinical Director is responsible for communication of pertinent information to all patient care personnel concerning significant changes in a patient’s status. This may be done in any reasonable way deemed most expedient by the Clinical Director. This may include, but not limited to, weekly staff meetings, inter-office memo or notices, and personal conferences. These communications must be carried out in a professional manner respecting patient confidentiality while assuring the highest standard of professional conduct.
- The Clinical Director oversees work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions to the Administrator and CEO.
- The Clinical Director shall be open to receive any recommendations in regard to patient care policies from the Utilization/Quality Assurance Committee. Such recommendations shall then be directed to the Patient Care Committee to assure appropriate action is taken on these recommendations.
- The Clinical Director ensures all clinical records are maintained in accordance with Company policies and procedures. This shall include inspection of the clinical records to ensure that each record contains periodic clinical entries, noting at a minimum, the patient’s status in relationship to attaining the set goal(s).
- The Clinical Director will review the written policies and procedures regarding infection control and maintenance of a sanitary environment. These policies and procedures should be sufficient in light of the volume and types of patients and services provided and consistent with current practices of infection control. The Infection Control Committee and Clinical Director are responsible for establishing, implementing and monitoring the policies and procedures.
- Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Inspects clinical areas daily for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards and takes corrective action when violations occur.
- Facilitates positive problem resolution in the best interest of the patient and the team.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship between employees and management.
- Seeks opportunities to develop the clinical team by nurturing, advising, and guiding peers and others.
- Adjusts staffing to meet needs and to provide adequate coverage of clinical area and patient census.
- Ensures adequate stock of supplies and proper function of equipment.
- Performs interviews for clinical job applicants and oversees the orientation process of new clinical employees.
- Conducts clinical staff performance evaluations.
- Assists in the marketing and recruiting programs as needed.
- Observes patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA regulations.
- Develops and monitors Patient and Staff Quality Improvement Surveys with necessary follow-up and completes statistical data related to replies.
- Ensures that all employees reporting to this position are active in their positions and that non-productive time is eliminated.
- Other duties as requested by the Administrator/CEO
