Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Director to oversee our client's OB and NICU departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in obstetrics and neonatal care, as well as proven leadership abilities. The Clinical Director will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the OB and NICU departments, ensuring quality patient care, and promoting a positive work environment for staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the OB and NICU departments, including setting goals, developing policies and procedures, and monitoring performance.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to obstetrics and neonatal care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and make necessary changes to improve quality of care.
- Oversee staffing and scheduling for the OB and NICU departments, ensuring adequate coverage at all times.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff, as well as identify and address any performance issues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and other healthcare providers to facilitate coordinated care for patients.
- Participate in budget planning and management for the OB and NICU departments.
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices in obstetrics and neonatal care, and implement changes as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Current and valid RN license.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in obstetrics and neonatal care.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards for obstetrics and neonatal care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with budget planning and management.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
