Clinical Director of Residential Recovery Services - Ramey-Estep / Re-group

Organizational duties & responsibilities:

1. The primary responsibility of all staff is to ensure the safety and well-being of all Ramey-Estep/Re-group (RE) clients.
2. Supports the mission, vision, and values of RE.  Facilitates and adheres to the agency’s code of ethics, policies, and procedures.
3. Supports all functions that attain and maintain accreditation and compliance with regulatory agencies.
4. Supports and facilitates positive interaction with clients and staff by exhibiting both in-office and in-public when carrying out job duties:  individual maturity, respect for others, a team-centered approach, maintenance of confidential information, and awareness and sensitivity to cultural and other differences in clients and staff.
5. Exhibits effective communication skills including proper use of agency communication systems.
6. Participates in appropriate professional development programs to attain and maintain competency.
7. Effectively manages financial and physical resources to achieve the mission of RE.
8. Reports incidents of abuse or potential abuse involving clients to the appropriate authorities and RE.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides direct, clinical, and/or billing supervision to assigned staff. This includes, but is not limited to, at least once monthly, a review of caseloads of assigned staff, review of documentation of assigned staff, direct observation and feedback of assigned staff, identification of strengths and areas of improvement of assigned staff, and development of and ensuring follow through of performance improvement plans when needed.
2. Oversees and approves entry of timely billing vouchers and authorizations for all clients in the Residential Recovery Program.
3. Attends and directs all treatment team meetings and assists others in developing appropriate intervention techniques, case consultations, and providing clinical service updates.
4. Collaborates effectively with other RE/Re-group providers, services/programs, and with community partners.
5. Is available to staff and on-call team after hours if needed for crisis and emergency consultation unless other arrangements are made with a supervisor.
6. Identifies opportunities for improvement within program, develops solutions in collaboration with supervisor, and ensures implementation of new protocols as needed.
7. Works closely and collaboratively with Marketing Team for outreach purposes including program marketing, recruitment of staff, and referral engagement.
8. Is responsible for monitoring and ensuring appropriate financial management of the program including client census, staffing costs, operating costs, and other revenues and expenses. Will attend quarterly meetings with the CFO and/or designees to review program financial performance and will make adjustments when necessary.
9. When necessary, conducts and documents diagnostic assessment and treatment goals/objectives within the appropriate timeframe, assists with therapy groups or individual client services, care plan or assessment updates,
10. Responsible for the treatment component of all clients assigned to caseload and overseeing all client caseloads of those assigned.
11. Maintains current therapy notes, treatment reports, and other written documentation and correspondence according to agency policy and within appropriate time frames.
12. Maintains current licensure and stays within ethical guidelines provided by your licensure board.
13. Participates in supervision and consultation on a regular basis.
14. Assists in crisis intervention efforts to maintain the safety of the clients and use crisis as an opportunity  for growth.
15. Assists with Continuous Quality Improvement process including ensuring fidelity to evidenced-based practices, appropriate supervision, assisting with file reviews, etc.
16. Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes in schedules and work environment.
17. Provides and ensures the provision of consistent, quality treatment to all clients.
18. Ensures all necessary records are maintained and kept confidential.
19. Ensures entries in all treatment plans, and narrative reports to outside entities such as MCO’s, DCBS, and court are done in a professional, concise, and timely manner.
20. Ensures a thorough transition/aftercare plan is developed for all clients prior to discharge.
21. Performs other duties as assigned.

Working conditions/environment:

1. Shift is generally Monday – Friday but hours will vary based on the needs of the program.
2. Holidays, weekends, and extra hours may be required.
3. Intense, unpredictable population with the possibility of verbal and physical aggression.
4. Fast-paced environment with the need for quick decisions to deal with any crisis that may arise.
5. Primary work setting is on the residential campus.
6. Maintains a positive, professional attitude contributing to a supportive work environment.
