Must be a strong communicator, with a background in Provider care exp, must be registered RN, and should have experience or exposure within Hospice ideally.

The Informatics Analyst is responsible for aligning technology with clinical best practices to enhance patient centered care, streamline interdisciplinary communication, and ensure regulatory compliance. Collaborating closely with clinical and non-clinical leaders, this position supports clinical practice and drives quality improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will include maintaining efficient technology-based clinical processes and systems, while also staying attuned to the evolving needs of the organization. The Informatics analyst facilitates the identification of solutions utilizing data, research, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements. This position also supports the design, delivery, and evaluation of EHR educational documentation for new staff and serves as a clinical staff liaison to provide training and communication for EHR and clinical practice changes.
- Process Improvement and Technical Efficiencies
- Assesses current state, analyzes clinical workflows, and identifies opportunities for process improvement in clinical practice.
- Collaborates on auditing tools and reports from the EHR system to support decision-making by managers and staff.
- Actively seeks knowledge of the latest EHR technology and trends, and research options for improved workflows.
- Conduct research on new systems for potential evaluation and adoption.
- Assesses current state, analyzes clinical workflows, and identifies opportunities for process improvement in clinical practice.
- Development of patient-focused documentation standards and best practices
- Develops and maintains end-user workflow library for the EHR system processes.
- Ensures the agency's efforts to maintain appropriate charting etiquette, practices, and procedures.
- Assesses and monitors documentation workflows to assure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Works with departments and leaders to create and update clinical and EHR department standards, forms, policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Integrates changes in clinical practice with appropriate documentation and data capture, reviewing potential need for EHR form revision.
- Develops and maintains end-user workflow library for the EHR system processes.
- Clinical resource for EHR application development and revision (design of forms, data elements, workflow)
- Provides a clinical practice perspective in project development related to EHR changes.
- Prepares workflows, training environment changes and training for major system upgrades.
- Gathers clinical user information to drive the design, maintenance, evaluation, and revision of the clinical documentation system.
- Serves as a primary clinical liaison to EHR vendor.
- Provides the EHR users with feedback about system functionality and enhancements needed for industry documentation best practice.
- Test system changes in the EHR and determine impact on end-users.
- Provides a clinical practice perspective in project development related to EHR changes.
- Direct support of end-users in integrating the EHR into clinical practice
- Leads the effective and efficient integration of EHR into all teams and programs in collaboration with leaders.
- Supports coordination and communication via EHR between disciplines and interdisciplinary teams, especially during patient transitions.
- Acts as a resource, coach and teacher to leaders and staff in utilization of EHR into daily operations.
- Develops ongoing support mechanisms and tools, such as tip sheets, for staff to have direct support answering clinically-based and functional EHR questions.
- Provides on-call support as part of the EHR team rotation to address EHR questions outside of normal business hours.
