About the Job
We are seeking a Clinical Lab Technologist for a full-time evening position in New York.
The role involves performing routine and emergency tests on blood, urine, and other body fluids using both automated and manual instrumentation.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience maintaining equipment and records, ensuring compliance with QA and QC standards, and solving technical and procedural issues.
Position Highlights:
- Shift: Evening (4:00 PM - 12:30 AM) coverage every other weekends
- Responsibilities:
- Perform tests using various automated and manual equipment
- Monitor specimen processing to ensure timely completion
- Review and report data, including abnormal and critical results
- Maintain quality control records and resolve any QC failures
- Prepare reagents and monitor inventory levels
- Perform tests using various automated and manual equipment

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a physical science or medical technology preferred
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or limited permit required
- Familiarity with laboratory and hospital information systems

Benefits
Competitive pay DOE from 88,000-110,000, with a sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates
Bachelor's degree in a physical science, preferably in medical technology. Clinical Laboratory Technologist License from the New York State Department of Education Two years of hands-on experience in histological procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience operating the following equipment: Rotary Microtome Scales pH Meter Automated Cover Slipper Microscope Embedding Center Tissue Processor Water Bath Cryoplate Incubator Oven
