Position Summary: Clinical Leader FT 40Hours Haverhill Emergency Department
Job Description:
The Clinical Leader is an individual chosen by the Nurse Manager in cooperation with the ED Staff. A Clinical Leader has been identified as a nurse who exhibits exceptional qualities in the realms of interpersonal interactions, customer service, clinical excellence, and leadership potential. The Clinical Leaders take on additional duties in leadership development, customer service, employee satisfaction, and patient throughput. While the clinical leaders are clinical experts, they have received this designation in order to improve throughput in the ED, and develop their own leadership skills. While working in this role, their primary function should be patient movement and flow, while focusing on the patient and staff experience as a secondary measure.
Essential Functions:
He/she will be responsible to interpret and supervise staff as necessary to support the delivery of nursing practice, standards of nursing care, Department of Nursing policies/procedures, and hospital policies/procedures within the mission of Steward Holy Family Hospital and Medical Center.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education:Graduate of accredited school of Nursing.
- Experience:3 to 5 years Emergency department experience required as well as Triage and Charge capabilities.
- Certification/Licensure: Nursing Registration in Massachusetts, BLS, ACLS, TNCC and ENPC or PALS Required
- Other:BSN Preferred.
