VFS is currently seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker as a Clinical Manager.
The Clinical Manager provides support to the Clinical Department of Virginia Family Services (VFS).
Assists Clinical Supervisors and ensures VFS compliance standards, staff management, department goals and flow of services to Individuals as scheduled. The Clinical Manager maintains the integrity of the VFS mission, program outcomes, documentation, and brand.
Clinical Managers supervise a multi-disciplinary staff Licensed Mental Health Professionals providing supervision to the following Departments:
Mental Health Services:
- Mental Health Skills-Building Services (MHSS)
- Intensive In-Home (IIH)
- Residential Crisis Stabilization (CSU)
Addiction Recovery Treatment Services
- Substance Use Case Management
- Substance Use Intensive Outpatient
- Substance Use Partial Hospitalization
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and utilize company electronic systems, databases, emails, internal messaging systems, Internet and other assigned software within the scope of assigned duties and position
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, employee handbook, guidelines, directives, executive orders, standard operating procedures, and memos
- Must attend and participate in training(s), meetings and assigned supervision (weekly/monthly) Maintains and adheres to ethics of confidentiality, privacy and HIPPA compliance
- Manage and review clinical documentation to ensure compliance with company standard operating procedures
- Meet with Clinical Supervisors to provide guidance in regard to staffing, documentation, and relationship building within the community.
- Build partnerships within the surrounding areas to ensure proper care coordination.
- Assist with marketing to ensure company census goals are met.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Clinical Manager education and experience requirements:
- Relevant experience for this position is defined by VFS as Experience providing services in a community or facility setting, preparing clinical documentation (daily, quarterly, and progress notes), and assisting individuals with meeting their personal goals and objectives.
- Master's Degree preferably in Psychology or related approved Human Services field AND
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Minimum of Three (3) years of supervisory experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience with community-based services, children, adolescents, and adults.
- Valid Virginia State Driver's License, automobile insurance, and positive driving record
- Must have an acceptable background report
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (not inclusive)
- Maintain a strong ethical practice; demonstrate client relationships and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate competency in assessment and counseling skills (risk, suicidal, crisis intervention & diagnostic((SUD & MH)), clinical skills including the understanding of concepts, theory, and empirical foundations for practice.
- Knowledge of the ASAM Criteria and the DSM-V
- Supervise a multi-disciplinary staff of Clinical Supervisors ensuring compliance with related federal, state, local, and departmental regulations and policies.
- Able to manage multiple projects, delegating work assignments set expectations, and monitors delegated activities
- Maintains high standards regularly producing accurate, thorough, professional work, strong attention to detail.
- Responsible for completing work in a timely consistent manner, works hours necessary to complete assigned work, AND is regularly present and punctual, is committed to doing the best job possible.
- Ability to complete required documentation within deadlines
- Ability to respond appropriately to aggressive behaviors with the least restrictive interventions
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Proficient personal computer operations skills including Word, Excel
- Previous case management and documentation related experience
