Clinical - Medical Assistant - All Medical Personnel

Ushers clients from the waiting room, collects a complete set of vital signs prior to client appointment with prescriber, and documents the results promptly into the EMR.

Collects samples of bodily fluids as necessary for genetic testing and drug screening, setting up both instant and send-out interpretation of results.  Enters orders into respective online portals, including client insurance information.

Obtains laboratory results from a variety of sources, and prints and /or records, as appropriate in EMR and/or REMs.  Maintains a list of clients in Clozapine REMS and ensures that clients complete lab work at required intervals.  

Acts as the liaison between the prescriber, families, and staff, as appropriate.

Assists the nursing staff in outreach to clients and fellow staff, including sending ACT team members a summary of weekly appointments.

Coordinates the ordering and storage of supplies utilized by the nursing department.

Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.  

High School Diploma or GED

At least 1 year of experience 

Ability to accurately collect and measure all required vital signs.

Proficiency in using EMR and other online systems.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Email, Word, EXCEL).

Strong collaborating skills, and an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
