Position Summary:
The Clinical Medical Director (CMD) is a physician at a clinical site who supports and manages the administration of clinical practice for providers across all primary care service lines at his/her/their given site, in close collaboration with operational and nursing leadership at the site. The Clinical Medical Director will be overseeing Montrose Clinic and Wellness Bar. We are needing a physician who specializes in Internal Medicine or Infectious Disease for this role.

Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited medical school as M.D., D.O.
- Credentialed and privileged according to Legacy’s standards and practices
- Ability to meet Legacy Community Health’s EPIC proficiency requirements
- Physician with at least 3 years of clinical practice, post residency
- Board certified in their specialty
- Leadership/management experience
- Experience in supporting clinical programs across departments and initiating and developing programs
- Experience in FQHC environment
- Experience in interacting and collaborating with other physicians
- Able to establish relationships with different groups of internal/external stakeholders to obtain input and buy in
- Strong problem-solver and business acumen
- Highly organized and proficient in short-term and long-term strategy
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Evidence of continued growth and learning
Responsibilities:
- Clinical lead at the site and direct supervisor of providers at the site in primary care (Pediatrics, Adult Family Practice & Specialty, and OBGYN)
- Managing in collaboration with the Site Director
- Schedule optimization, Schedule coverage
- Provider behavior and professionalism
- Clinical workflow implementation and optimization
- Addressing urgent issues in the clinic
- Directly communicates with service line medical director regarding provider behavior concerns
- Educate providers in the clinic on new initiatives and projects and monitor and support providers on implementation
- Promote and monitor specific productivity metrics standards for each provider
- Monitor empanelment metrics (such as panel size, provider loyalty, etc, as assigned, for providers at the site
- In collaboration with the medical directors, will assist with recruitment and interviews of providers for the site
- Review data on waiting times for new patients, no show rates, etc. to make decisions on how your service line can grow/expand and where (we will help with getting this data)
- Serve as link between EHRS/IT team at the local level to ensure that discipline related content is up to date and relevant and that providers use of the system is optimized
- Partner and strategize with site director on implementing improvement strategies in discipline specific processes such as scheduling, and clinic workflows
- Management of CME time and reimbursement requests
- Manage PTO Holiday schedule in conjunction with Site Director
- Management of complaints and incident reports as it relates to clinical operations
- Stands as the Lab director for the site and assigned training
- MD for Standing Delegated Orders
- As a provider, CMD will still participate in the Provider Incentive Program, with a modification to include metrics of success of the clinic site
- Administrative time is based on the size of the clinic and will change accordingly
- Performs other duties as assigned
