The stated pay scale reflects the range as defined by the collective bargaining agreement between Sharp HealthCare and Sharp Professional Nurses Network, United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals, NUHHCE, AFSME, AFL-CIO.  Placement within the range is based on years of RN experience.

What You Will Do
To provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families.

The Neuroscience program at Sharp Grossmont Hospital offers the most advanced neurological and surgical treatments in the region. Our state-of-the-art neuroscience unit is dedicated to the care of patients with both common and rare neurological conditions. Neuroscience nurses receive a robust, neurology and neurosurgery-specific orientation including didactic, skill, preceptor, and simulation sessions. Initial orientation, combined with annual education, provides nurses with a strong neuroscience foundation, and enables them to provide top tier care for this specialty patient population. This broad neuroscience foundation of knowledge also supports neuroscience nurses to take the Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) certification exam after 1 year of experience. Required Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing school.
• 1 Year clinical experience (RNs with less than 12 months experience will complete the new grad requirements).
• California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Various-Employee provides certificate -REQUIRED.

Other Qualification Requirements

• NIHSS is required within 90 days of hire.

Bonus - New Hire Incentives 

• 10K Sign-On Bonus (Nights only) for hires new to Sharp AND 
• 5K Relocation Bonus for new hires 
• $2,500 Referral Bonus for Internal Sharp employees only (for a qualified external new hire referral) 
• $15K Traveler Conversion Bonus available only to current Sharp RN travelers who convert to permanent Full Time. Traveler bonus is in lieu of sign on and/or relocation bonus.

• Rehires/Reinstates that are rejoining the organization less than 12 months from last date of employment with Sharp Healthcare
• To remain eligible for your sign on incentive the following criteria must be met:
• Must remain in original hired FTE status and shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty.
• Must remain in original Job Title
• Transfers to a non-bonus eligible department or position may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus.

• Referral must list the name of the Sharp employee that referred them on the job application.
