Responsibilities:
The Clinical Outreach Specialist is accountable for building and maintaining trust, as a reliable resource for adolescent/young adult behavioral health care, in their respective professional communities. This position will collaborate with their client’s treatment team, both internally and externally, to provide comprehensive care coordination including regular communications, while acting as an internal liaison to foster and enhance the experience and outcomes for their clients and their families. These talented specialists will identify market strategy, build and deepen professional relationships and optimize potential opportunities to increase Newport Healthcare's reach.
Essential Duties:
- Develop and execute quarterly and annual performance objectives for the target market.
- Identify decision makers in the target markets, reach out to establish key relationships, and document meaningful activity in contact database.
- Collaborate with a national team of professionals.
- Conduct face-to-face meetings with key decision makers to uncover needs, address barriers to treatment, and create community partnerships.
- Plan and execute territory routing to balance new and existing relationships.
- Plan and attend facility tours, professional weekends, facility events for decision makers in the target market, and conferences/networking events on behalf of Newport Healthcare.
- Plan and execute presentations, customizing them to the target audience.
- Respond immediately to service and referral inquiries and support the referring professional and the family, from the first call through admission, ensuring communication and care coordination.
- Participate in national calls, weekly team calls, and in Quarterly field rides with Senior Director of Clinical Outreach.
- Manage expenses and company credit card tasks as designated by supervisor/administrator.
- Assist with client assessments if the Clinical Outreach team member has a current up to date license. The Clinical Outreach team member will not have the authority to clear clients for admission.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Marketing, Business, Healthcare or closely related field OR minimum two (2) years of direct experience in behavioral health setting/ pharmaceuticals sales.
- Experience with communication principles, practices, and techniques applicable to a healthcare environment.
- Extensive experience in creating, maintaining, and delivering marketing strategies to meet objectives.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer experience.
- As a Clinical Outreach Specialist, you are assigned to be responsible for a designated territory. To ensure that you are properly covering your assigned territory, you must, as a condition of continued employment with the company, reside in or within close enough proximity to your designated territory so that you can meet the requirement of regularly spending time physically in your territory visiting your assigned locations on a prompt and regular basis without incurring excessive commute time or expenses. Specifically, it is a job requirement to travel to locations throughout your assigned territory on a regular basis. Permission will generally not be given and should not be expected except in extenuating circumstances. Based on this requirement, employees are required to obtain written permission from their direct supervisor before moving out of the metropolitan area in which their assigned territory is located.
