Clinical Pharmacist Advisor at US Tech Solutions

Duration: 12+ months contract

Job Description:

• As an Clinical Pharmacist Advisor you will be directly supporting Medicare Part D members and providers with requests related to their pharmacy benefits. You will be responsible for ensuring cases are accurately set up for our members, review clinical information for decisioning the request, performing outreach to providers for more information when needed, and ensuring accurate decisions that comply with compendia and Medicare guidance and timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for reviewing and completing criteria based on prior authorization as per policy and procedure.
• This individual must have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Will be responsible for: Reviewing and completing criteria based on prior authorization as per policy and procedure.

Experience:

• Prior authorization experience required.
• Previous pharmacy experience in retail or hospital preferred.
• Appropriate state license required. Basic computer skills required.
• Strong organizational skill, interpersonal skills and detail orientation important for this position.

Skills:

• MUST HAVE MANAGED CARE exp and Medicare/Medicaid knowledge.
• MUST HAVE 6 months of experienced with Prior Authorization(required).
• MUST HAVE experience with Medicare Part D
• Must Have Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) experience.

Education:

• Pharm D. required with at least two years experience as a pharmacist in Managed care environment.
• Must have an active license in the state of residence in good standing.

Questionnaire:

• How many years of prior-authorization experience do you have?
• Haw many Prior Auth cases have you handled in your last role?
• Do you have experience in handling calls regarding prior authorization and appeals?
