Clinical Pharmacist Lead at BJC HealthCare

Are you a licensed pharmacist eager for a new opportunity? Our team at Alton Memorial Hospital is expanding and is looking for a patient - centered pharmacist to join our dynamic team! 

In this role, you will make a direct impact on patient care by rounding with a multidisciplinary team, reviewing patient medications, providing patient education/counseling, and more. 

• Monday - Friday 
• 8 AM - 5PM

Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.

Role Purpose

Assess, monitor, initiate, and modify medication use according to patient condition and age specific criteria. Serves as a liaison between the pharmacy department and other health care practitioners in matters related to specialized area of pharmacy practice. Supervises and directs supportive personnel. Counsels and educates to promote optimal drug therapy. Directs and assists in the procurement, storage, distribution and disposal of medications.
