About Us: Kids On The Move (KOTM) is a well-established non-profit organization committed to supporting the development of children and families in Utah. With a rich history of service, we are expanding our offerings by building a new Family Support Services program. This program will offer psychological evaluations to children ages 0-17. We are excited to create this program from the ground up and are seeking an experienced and passionate psychologist to help us lead the way.

Role Responsibilities: The Clinical Psychologist will be an integral part of KOTM's Family Support Services program, focusing on conducting psychological evaluations and providing diagnoses for children ages 0-17. The psychologist will work closely with families to assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs. This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for each child. Key responsibilities include:
- Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough psychological evaluations using standardized tests, clinical interviews, and behavioral observations.
- Diagnose mental health and developmental conditions using DSM-5 criteria.
- Prepare detailed evaluation reports and effectively communicate findings to families.
Treatment Planning:
- Collaborate with families and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide recommendations for further interventions and services, including referrals to other professionals as needed.
Consultation & Collaboration:
- Work closely with KOTM's multidisciplinary team, including speech-language pathologists and behavior analysts, to coordinate care.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss cases and contribute to the development of best practices.
Family Education & Support:
- Educate families on psychological aspects of their child's diagnosis and provide strategies to support their child's development.
- Offer ongoing support and resources to help families navigate their child's care.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans in compliance with KOTM's policies and relevant regulations.
- Ensure documentation meets insurance and billing requirements.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated with the latest research and developments in child psychology and neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to training sessions for staff and families.
Qualifications:
- Education: Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, EdD) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Licensed or license-eligible to practice psychology in the state of Utah.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents, with a strong preference for experience in assessing and diagnosing neurodevelopmental disorders such as ASD.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic health records and familiarity with insurance billing for psychological services.
