Clinical Psychologist

Security: Must possess the ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.

Location: Naval Health Clinic Lemoore, 937 Franklin Avenue, Lemoore, CA 93246

Start Date: 11/01/2024 (Placeholder date until the actual start date is given by base)
Contract ends on: 11/30/2027

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 hours between 7:30am and 4:30pm, to include a 1 hour lunch break
No Weekends, No Holidays No Call, No Call-Back

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: PhD or PsyD from an APA accredited program; completion of an APA accredited internship
• Experience: Minimum 2 years experience, within the past 3 years, or as required to meet clinical competency requirements
• License: Active, unrestricted license in any state
• Board Certification: N/A
• Life Support Certifications: BLS

Security: Must be able to pass a Government background check and obtain a Government security clearance.
 

Job Specific Details and Tasks: The duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
• Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
• Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
• Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
• Assist in rehabilitation of patients.

Mental Health Clinic:

• The HCW shall provide services within the scope of the clinical privileges granted by the MTF Director , the applicable duties provided in the basic contract, and the following:
• Utilize Behavioral Health Data Portal (BHDP).
• Provide therapeutic treatment and evaluation of patients.
• Work closely with clinical staff and/or base personnel regarding patient awareness of mental health wellness programs (addictions, stress management, group therapies, etc).
• Perform clinical evaluations including administration and interpretation of psychological, neuropsychological, cognitive and personality tests, and provide clinical consultation regarding selection of psychological testing.
