One of our clients is seeking a clinical psychologist/mental health consultant for their location near I-55 and Kedzie.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
Reports to the Health and Wellness Manager. Develops, implements, and monitors the Mental Health Program to include staff development, mental health counseling of students, TEAP program counseling, according to the clientl regulations and the Policy and Requirements Handbook. Demonstrates on-going commitment to preparing young people for the workforce by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring excellence in the eight Career Success Standards of: workplace relations and ethics; information management; communications; multicultural awareness; personal growth and development; career and personal planning; interpersonal skills and independent living.
o Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the center's Mental Health Program, including supervision of all mental health interns and employees.
o Advises the Center Director and Health Services staff of all mental health matters.
o Conducts staff development and training in the use of mental health principles and techniques.
o Develops, schedules and documents weekly staff training as required by client's regulation and the PRH.
o Consults and promotes the coordination and integration of mental health with other center programs and activities.
o Develops constructive programs for meeting students' mental health issues and works with center disciplinary, maximum benefits, intergroup relations and the AODA prevention programs.
o Documents and submits forms and correspondence to local, state, and federal agencies to meet all program requirements.
o Provides evaluation and diagnostic services to inpatient or outpatient students.
o Provides limited psychiatric treatment as permitted by licensure.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
o Active, unrestricted license to practice as an independent practitioner in IL and does not require supervision to practice.
o Clinical/Counseling Psychologist or Clinical Social Worker
o Minimum 1 year of experience as licensed independent practitioner providing assessment and treatment services to adolescents and young adults.
o Valid State driver's license in the state of employment with acceptable driving record.
CLIENT'S AVAILABLE HOURS & COMPENSATION
- $54$59 hourly compensation
- Potential for client negotiable contracttohire
- Monday thru Friday business hours, no weekends or holidays!
