Today’s posting will place you at the primary location of the Colorado Medical Health System United States AirForce Academy. Hours of Performance: The performance (duty) hours of the MTF are as follows: Duty hours will vary by position and location; however, typical duty hours are scheduled between 0700 -1700, Monday through Friday. Hours are subject to change and may include nights and weekends. In the event the HCW is required to work beyond their scheduled duty hours for any reason, the duty hours will be adjusted within the current pay period; the HCWs shall not work more than 40 hours per week. The performance (duty) hours of the MTFs are as follows: 10 MDG, United States Air Force Academy Monday through Friday, 0730-1630. 460 MDG, Buckley Space Force Base, Monday through Friday, 0730-1630.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)
- Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association (APA) accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology
- Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA)
- Experience: The HCW shall have at least two (2) years of professional experience working in an outpatient mental health clinic
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges
- Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
- Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders
- Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries
- Assist in the rehabilitation of patients
Additional Duties:
- Attend and participate in meetings during normal duty hours and professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities such as, but not limited to the following: Quality Improvement meetings, professional staff meetings, Commander's staff meetings, Mental Health Flight meetings, and others required by applicable regulations, MTF guidance, or as directed by the Mental Health Flight Commander or his/her designated representative
- Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in clinical/behavioral health psychology
- Clinical/Counseling Psychology. Responsible for and applies psychological procedures and techniques, including interviewing, behavioral assessment, evidenced-based therapies, and limited psychological testing/psycho-diagnostic testing, in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological and neuropsychological disorders
- Individual, family, and group psychotherapy, couples therapy, alcohol, and drug treatment evaluations
- Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts, as required
- Maintain accurate and current notes in both the Mental Health records of all patients seen, as appropriate, and produces reports of evaluation and/or treatment, as required
- Participates in military-specific training (e.g., training to perform Command Directed Evaluations, security clearances, Military Training Instructor clearances, pre-post deployment screening, PTSD, and combat stress)
- Conduct more comprehensive psychological evaluations to address complex diagnostic and treatment issues. Provide counseling in a short-term treatment environment
