+ DAYS - ON SITE **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS** As a unique member of Harborview Medical Center's Clinical Quality Analyst team this role will provide analytics support for HMC's growing Care Management and Utilization Management as well as collaborate with ambulatory stakeholderson priority quality improvement initiatives **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION**

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Ensure abstraction needs are met for assigned programs
+ Provide expertise for case reviews
+ Provide leadership and data support for quality improvement efforts related to internal, regulatory, and public reporting of quality and patient safetymeasures
+ Collaborate with Utilization Management nurses and physicians on improvement efforts around inpatient documentation of care
+ Monitor, review, and track HMC performance on KPIs for priority initiatives, proactively communicating results and trends to leadership andclinical stakeholders
+ Participate in core Quality Improvement departmental functions including data queries and analysis, special projects, and formal presentations of data and initiatives **REQUIRMENTS**
+ BA or BS in Nursing or equivalent, with 1-3 years of clinical experience
+ The Clinical Quality Analyst must have 3 years of recent experience with quality improvement and/or patient safety activities in an acute care setting.
+ Demonstrated ability to coordinate information gathering and dissemination within a complex administrative system
+ Demonstrated ability to prepare and present information and communicate effectively with all levels of the hospital-wide quality improvement team andoutside regulatory agencies
+ Ability to work effectively and efficiently with several complex data collection and data registry collection systems
+ Ability to analyze data/care processes for identification of opportunities for improvement in care
+ Understanding of data validity, chart abstraction and coding issues within the electronic medical record and demonstrated ability to work effectively andefficiently with medical records
+ Highly self-directed and creative
