Clinical Research Coordinator - PeaceHealth

**Description** PeaceHealth is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator for a Part Time, 0.60 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $27.47 - $41.21. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Responsible for the dayto-day coordination of clinical research trials. Coordinates and manages patient participation and data management for assigned studies. Details of the Position: + Assists in the evaluation and feasibility assessment of proposed clinical trials. Assists with the development of study budgets. Participates in study calendar build into the CareConnect research module and assists with CMS billing/coding compliance for qualifying clinical studies. Coordinates with leadership on contracts and agreements. + Works with study team and leadership to ensure clinical trials are conducted in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations as well as the standards of Good Clinical Practice guidelines and policies and procedures mandated by the study sponsor. Maintains compliance with institutional requirements and policies. Assists with Institutional Review Board submission documentation and ensures no study activity commences until approval complete. + Participates in protocol-specific training and trains others according to protocol. Employs strategies to maintain recruitment and retention rates and to assist participants with individual needs. + Participates and performs clinical research activities including study start up, site initiation visits, recruitment, informed consent, procedures, encounters, maintenance of logs, monitoring, audits and closeout visits. + Assists with the management of Investigational Product handing, dispensing, storage and documentation and participant-level compliance. Collects, prepares, processes, ships and maintains inventory of research specimens or study-related equipment/supplies. Completes case report forms/ electronic data capture system documentation. Conducts and documents participant-level visits, including consent documentation in the electronic medical record. + Performs other duties as assigned. What You Bring: Education + Bachelor's Degree Required: Healthcare or equal and equivalent work experience within a related field Experience + Minimum of 3 years Required: Relevant experience (e.g. research, clinical, interaction with study population, program coordination) and + Preferred: Clinical research experience Credentials + Preferred: Certified Clinical Research Coordinator Skills + Excellent organizational skills (Required) + Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (Required) + Strong problem solving skills (Required) + Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment (Required) + Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Required) + Self-starter (Required) + Familiarity with health records data base systems (Preferred) Department / Location Specific Notes St. Joseph Medical Center: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire. Working Conditions Lifting + Consistently operates computer and other office equipment. + Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. + Sedentary work. Environmental Conditions + Predominantly operates in an office environment. + Some time spent on site in medical/hospital setting. Mental/Visual + Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information. + The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
