Position Details:
Our client, a world-leading Pharmaceutical Company in Cambridge, MA is currently looking for a Scientist II to join their expanding team.
Job Title: Scientist II (Multi-Color Flow Cytometry, Cell Culture)
Duration: 12 months contract, extendable up to 36 months
Location: Cambridge, MA
Note:
The client has the right-to-hire you as a permanent employee at any time during or after the end of the contract.

Job Description:
Highly motivated individual to work in a challenging environment within the preclinical in vivo pharmacology group.
Working with vivo colleagues to determine the efficacy of both small and large molecule approaches to reducing specific disease endpoints through in vitro and ex vivo assays.
Position Responsibilities:
Expertise on multi-color flow cytometry assays from ex vivo tissue or cells
Execution of in vitro murine cell-based assays (cell lines or primary cells)
Work with in vivo colleagues with experiments in support of Inflammation & Immunology therapeutic portfolio
Works independently
Good communication and presentation skills
Maintaining well-organized records and documentation
Organizational Relationships:
In vivo, in vitro preclinical biology, Flow facility, comparative medicine group, chemistry, biomedical design
Education And Experience:
BS/MS with 2-4 years' experience in a field of science relevant to the position (e.g., Microbiology, Biology, Pharmacology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Animal Science)
Technical Skills Requirements:
Expertise in multi-color flow cytometry
Experience performing in vitro assays: cell culture, screening assays
Ex-vivo analysis/culture of cells isolated from various organs
Experience in molecular biology techniques such as ELISA, Western blot and RT-PCR
Assist in planning, coordination and execution of ex vivo pharmacology studies in rodents
Able to manage multiple projects at a time
Good organizational and communication skills, ability to focus attention to details
A high degree of flexibility, and a willingness and ability to work as a team member
Good communication skills and works well in a team
Analyzing and presenting data to individuals and in group settings
Weekend or after-hours work may be required
Physical Position Requirements:
Normal working conditions involving sitting and standing with travel between floors and buildings on campus
Working in laboratory setting with time spent in biosafety cabinet, flow cytometry laboratory
Weekend or after-hours work may be required
