Job Title: Research Associate (Cell Culture, ELISA) / Pharma Industry
Duration: 18 months contract, extendable up to 36 months
Location: Bothell, WA

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Potency Assay development team.
The Potency team is responsible for the development, qualification and implementation of cell-based assays, binding assays and other methods to support the characterization of therapeutics in the Pharmaceutical pipeline.
The candidate will work with the manager in performing and developing cell-based assays as well as sample testing.
The candidate will also be involved in helping to develop and implement Client assays, such as binding assays and ELISAs when appropriate, in both GLP and non-GLP environments.
Principal Responsibilities
Perform various assays, including cell-based assays, ELISAs, and binding assays
Participate in assay qualification and implementation activities
Aid in the development of cell-based assays or binding assays
Participate in general lab maintenance stocking, maintaining equipment and buffer preparation
Performs experiments that are routine in nature and troubleshoots studies with supervision.
Interprets data and recognizes errors or unusual results when they occur.
Records accurate, clear, and complete experimental data and methods
Summarizes experimental results and presents to lab group.
Required Qualifications
Accurate and good pipetting ability in both single and multichannel pipetting required
Experience with aseptic technique, cell culture, and bioassays, particularly cell-based & binding assays highly desirable
Meticulous attention to detail, quality and compliance following assay procedures, data reporting and execution of experiments
Previous laboratory experience in a development or GLP or QC setting is desirable
Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Function independently as well as actively participate in team responsibilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor of Science degree in bioengineering, biology, or related field and 2+ years of laboratory experience (either academic or industry) would be preferred
