What you will be doing:
In addition to ongoing training, this position will allow for the opportunity to grow and develop skills not only in individual and family therapy practice, but also developing skills in facilitating group therapy, during our ongoing social skill group sessions.
Some responsibilities include:
- Utilize the ICD and/or DSM to diagnosis and appropriate assessment tools, such as CAFAS/PECFAS as programmatically indicated.
- Using a Family Centered Planning model, coordinate and monitor delivery of services and implementation of behaviorally specific treatment goals and objectives for assigned clients including the assessment, treatment, coordination of referrals and additional of services with outside providers.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to appropriately deliver services to meet client needs at the agency, by Telehealth, or in the community; and by working evening hours.
- Maintain clinical records, reports, case notes, and all other client and treatment documentation in the appropriate electronic record systems, meeting all agency, contractual or billing requirements and deadlines.
- Monitor overall service plan implementation, making recommendations for services, level of care and discharge as needed.
- Maintain ongoing communication and follow up with assigned clients and other providers to facilitate treatment.
- Assist clients with obtaining transportation as needed.
- Develop Performance Goals and Expectations with immediate supervisor annually.
- If certified in a clinical model of practice, staff must maintain certification in and participate in all training and program requirements to assure model fidelity for any Evidence Based, Promising and/or Best Practice Models.
- Always collaborate and maintain professional standards while conducting agency business.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Our ideal candidate has:
- A Master's level degree in mental health related field such as; social work, psychology, or counseling.
- A professional license in the state of Michigan.
- A minimum of 1-year prior experience working with children
