Responsibilities:
- Own the staffing scheduling process for the Nursing department including ensuring team members being scheduled are compliant with license/certification renewals, annual health screens,
- Provides administrative support to the Nursing Department
- Properly coding timesheets for paid time off (PTO), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave, and unpaid leaves of absence, etc.
- Creates staffing schedules for Nursing Department. Fulfilling staffing vacancies in advance to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
- Keeping meticulous attendance records
- Communicating with nursing leadership regarding floor orientation scheduling for newly hired employees in the nursing department
- Checking time clock punch records against master schedules and noting the appropriate changes
- Signing time corrections forms for events such as missing meal periods or forgetting to clock in/out
- Utilizing computer software to prepare, change, and update the master schedule
- Calls nursing staff for shift coverage as needed
- Completes and posts daily staffing information
- Serves as point of contact for questions regarding scheduling
- Monitors, maintains files and records of scheduled staff leave requests and reported overtime, absences and tardiness, and other nursing clerical information within the Nursing Services Department
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years of experience in healthcare scheduling preferred
- Preference given to candidates with experience working in assisted living environments
- Proficiency in scheduling software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. Hourly rate is based on skills and experience
