Clinical Supervisor Needed for Spaulding
Summary
Licensed PT, OT, or SLP therapist to supervise operational and clinical responsibilities for rehabilitation services at the outpatient center. Participate in quality improvement and program development activities. Provide consultative services to clinicians to achieve stated goals for performance. Participate in development and assurance of general and program specific competencies as it relates to the patient population served.
Key Responsibilities- Team members are oriented, mentored and supported to achieve stated goals for performance. Performance feedback is integrated into performance evaluations.
- Provide patient care as per Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist job description.
- Patient satisfaction and productivity goals are managed and achieved. Gaps are identified and improvement plans are put in place
- Therapists are mentored to achieve professional standards of practice per network and facility policies and procedures.
- Academic roles and research are fostered within the rehabilitation team.
- Patients, visitors, and other health care professionals in the community are educated to the role of rehabilitation services and in particular as it relates to the specific programs.
- Overall educational needs of staff are identified and priorities are determined and shared with manager.
- Management meetings are attended as identified with manager.
- Program based marketing efforts are supported to achieve stated objectives.
- Additional department, organization or network activities are completed per established objectives.
- Develop staff clinical expertise to meet the needs of the persons served
- Manage clinical staffing to meet needs of the department and the persons served.
- Manage person served issues, concerns and complaints appropriately

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities
- Manage full time, part time and per diem clinical FTESFT, PT and Per Diem clinical FTE – not limited to physical, occupational and speech therapy.
Fiscal Responsibilities: (include size of annual budget)
- Work with leadership team to meet fiscal year revenue and volume targets as proportional to direct staff reports.
Education/Degree
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or SLP program.
Experience
Required
- 3 years of diverse and well rounded clinical experience preferably concentrated within the clinical specialties of the program.
- Previous supervisory experience in one of the following capacities: supervisor, clinical instructor or supervisor of therapy aides/assistants under the guidance of a therapist supervisor.
Licensure
Required
- BLS required. Current license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by the Board of Allied Health Professions.
Skills(Specific learned activity gained through training (e.g. computer skills, keyboarding, presentation, CPR, ACLS, etc.)
Required
- Computer proficiency required. Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.
- Participated in activities which would require application of leadership skills, specifically interactive team building.
- Problem solving skills for treatment planning and execution taking into consideration patient’s age, psychosocial, and cultural background.
- Advanced skills in teaching others and self assessment of learning needs, strengths, and professional goals.
- Safely execute all job responsibilities without risking injury to self or patients. Demonstrates the ability to assess and interact with patients and families using the theories of human growth and development, family systems, and cultural background.
- Computer proficiency required. Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.
