POSITION TITLE: CLINICAL SUPERVISOR
REPORTS TO: Director of Client Services
SUPERVISES: Case Managers
POSITION SUMMARY:
Oversee services for a team of ~8 case managers serving individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS. The Clinical Supervisor provides support, accountability, training, leadership and direction to ensure that services are delivered in accordance with Caracole Standards of Care, helps develop or improve programs and measure their success, and serves as a key member of the management team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hire, train and supervise case management staff including providing regular individual and group supervision..
- As a supervisor, support and assist case management staff in developing and growing their clinical skills, interventions and techniques.
- Assist with client transfer coordination and level of care re-evaluation between non-medical and medical teams.
- Develop and distribute and collect client satisfaction surveys.
- Determine and monitor program outcomes.
- Develop and implement case management policies and procedures; assist staff in learning and adapting to changes in procedure and practice.
- Assure maintenance of all records and statistics needed for management and grant requirements.
- Ensure completion and timely submission of required reports.
- Develop and revise documentation systems as needed to improve client services and promote efficiency.
- Identify and document gaps in services and participate in developing strategies to resolve them.
- Assure that the mission of Caracole is evident in planning & operation of all client services.
- Represent department and share leadership on the management team.
- Promote Caracole services within the community.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other community providers.
- Facilitate and develop on-going training, support and educational programs for staff and clients.
- Identify and pursue educational opportunities to promote professional growth.
- Participate in Quality Management activities.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
LISW-S required with at least three years of experience as a social worker. Managerial and/or supervisory experience, including planning and program implementation. Demonstrated experience with HIV/AIDS, homelessness, mental illness, and/or substance use. Must possess knowledge about a range service networks with a strong commitment to collaboration. Proven ability to work harmoniously with ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse groups of individuals.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Excellent teaching and coaching skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in verbal, print, and electronic communications.
- Advanced computer and keyboarding skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Read, write, speak and understand English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sensitivity to persons living with chronic disease (HIV/AIDS and/or addiction) and co-existing social, mental and physical conditions.
- Bilingual (Sp/En) preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This hybrid position includes time spent working in office, remotely at home, and in the community. Work is generally 9-5 M-F. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear; use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, operate a telephone, fax machine and computer. The employee is frequently required to move throughout the building and to other sites in the community. Some site visits may involve stairs. Employee must have reliable transportation and ability to drive to other sites and meetings as needed. Must have driver's license, insurance and vehicle to travel to community locations. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. COVID 19 vaccination (or waiver) required upon hire.
SALARY:
This is a full time salary position that pays between $75,000-$79,000 annually based on experience.
