Responsibilities:Participates in the coordination and implementation of the hospital Chemical Dependency Program, and to provide direct services to patients and their families. Performs treatment coordination duties for assigned patients in the Program. Responsibilities include regular liaison with members of the treatment team, discharge planning and aftercare follow-up and marketing with community agencies and professionals. The Chemical Dependency Counselor will document clinical assessments and treatment plans for assigned patients and participate in the Performance Improvement Program pursuant to specifications of monitoring devices.
Qualifications:EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. BA Degree in Psychology/ human services related field required. 2. CADC certification or LCADC License recognized in the state of New Jersey.
3. Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in psychiatric, chemical dependency or residential treatment facility preferred.
4. Experience in counseling chemically dependent adults and their family members and/or significant others.
5. Working knowledge of the 12-Step Program.
6. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
