Senior Cloud Architect – Core and Cloud Networks
Location: Remote - Any location, working in EST
Duration: 4 Month+ Contract

The Global Network Services is looking for a Senior Network Architect to focused on Core and Cloud Network Infrastructures. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecture and design within global landscape.

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years of proven experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale multivendor enterprise networks, project delivery with focus on performance optimization and scalability.
• Expert level knowledge of IP Networking, Routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP), SDN (Cisco ACI, Arista Spine, NSX-T etc.), and micro-segmentation
• Public Cloud network experience (AWS, Azure) is a must
• Analyzing, gathering, and auditing large-scale and complex data sets to uncover new trends and patterns that influence architecture direction.
• Extensive experience with planning, designing, and executing network hardware and software infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge on network management and monitoring platforms
• Recommend network improvements, including cost/benefit analysis, to meet changing business requirements.
• Plan large-scale projects through vendor comparison and cost studies
• CCIE or CCNP Routing and Switching certifications or equivalent are required.
• Network Automation and infrastructure as code (Ansible, Python, etc.) a plus.
• Sharp troubleshooting faculties, deductive reasoning, and careful attention to detail.
• Independent and self-directed work ethic when participating in a collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written to develop technical documentation
• Excellent communication skills; ability to perform under pressure and detail oriented
• Dedicated commitment to service availability and quality user experience.
• Must be results driven with a strong sense of urgency

Responsibilities

• Core network architecture and vision, ensure specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged.
• Lead architect responsible for designing and developing scalable and highly available global core and cloud network architectures to meet the organizations business needs
• Evaluate alternative technologies and architectures in relation to Consolidated Communications infrastructure needs
• Manage complex activities simultaneously to short timescales
• Develop scripts and processes to test, deploy and validate changes across all network infrastructure as code, leveraging Ansible and other approved corporate automation and orchestration platforms
• Develop state of the art technology appropriate to deliver stable and scalable technical solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop consensus, drive results, and execute projects across the organization on time and within budget
• Develop and maintain standards and designs for Core network architecture
• Articulate design rationale, flexibly adapt solutions, and iterate designs when required
• Work closely with senior management, and network engineering and operations teams
• Act as an escalation engineer for high severity network related production issues, work with engineers and various vendors to identify tactical and strategic solutions.
