GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting the company infrastructure business processes and operations and/or network-based (cloud) product systems. Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies, and supports operating systems, database or utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems with automated systems solutions. Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for LAN and/or WAN systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provision, configure, administrate, automate, monitor, and support enterprise and project cloud services.
Manage and maintain various development tools such as Atlassian Suite and Artifactory.
Through automation, enforce continuous compliance to security standards.
Design state-of-the-art technical solutions that are scalable, reliable, secure, and meet performance requirements.
Support architectural design and new cloud service implementations utilizing industry best practices.
Assist with the planning and migration of legacy applications to the cloud.
Perform operational engineering for activities which include platform upgrades, server patching, monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Provide periodic off-hours on-call support for production and development environments.
Manage security logging, monitoring, and alert triage and participate in security incident response and investigation.
Utilize various automation, monitoring, and service management tools & techniques to troubleshoot issues and perform performance tuning.
Support our development and engineering teams on cloud related issues.
Adhere and comply with System Development Lifecycle and Release Management processes and procedures to include the use of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Required Experience:
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
Understanding of Atlassian's suite of products, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and others.
Familiarity with web application frameworks, databases, and related technologies (e.g., PHP, Node.js, MySQL, PostgreSQL) is important for configuring Atlassian applications and databases on web servers and AWS RDS.
Linux server administration and automation.
Experience with a wide range of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and more.
Experience with IaC tools like AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform, and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
Understanding of AWS networking concepts, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Route 53, Security Groups, and Network ACLs.
Understanding of Cloud security best practices around security, efficiency and cost control.
Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc.
Work closely with other teams such as devops, secops, and transport.
Must be a self-starter, able to work productively independently, as well as work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary engineering team.
Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and changes in the software development lifecycle to maximize the value of Atlassian tools for your team or organization.
Technical proficiency including systems experience, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and issue management in a multi-platform environment.
Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties, including computer skills.
Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.
Communicate and interact effectively with peers, managers, senior leadership and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.
Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including, for example training, reviewing, and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment, and changes, and more.

Ability to obtain security clearance if/when needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years experience building, running, and troubleshooting production systems and live environments required.
Experience installing, configuring, maintaining and administrating Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket.
1+ years experience with IaC tools Terraform/Ansible required.
2+ years experience with AWS is required preferably as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer , Systems Administrator or similar.
3+ years experience with Unix / Linux required.
3+ years' experience with networking and security (e.g., TCP/IP, IPSec, NAT/Firewall rules).
Experience with NIST SP800-171 is a plus.
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively handle projects.
Cloud certifications a plus.
Security Certifications a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Office
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones).
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Yes, to other local Kratos sites when applicable. Travel is minimal and usually 1-2 times yearly for team functions.
