Cloud Engineer - AKKODIS

Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Plano, TX/Atlanta, GA/ Richmond, VA (Hybrid). You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure while automating cloud services using tools like Terraform.

 

Rate Range: $63/hour to $73/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Cloud Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, ensuring alignment with the company’s cloud strategy.

• Automating cloud services using tools like Terraform to improve efficiency and reduce manual configuration.

• Writing infrastructure as code and ensuring that the code adheres to strict standards for accessibility, security, and performance.

• Conducting product design activities and collaborating across teams to deliver software solutions that support cloud enablement.

• Performing unit and integration testing to validate the functionality and reliability of cloud infrastructure solutions.

• Participating in architecture reviews, requirements gathering, and design meetings to ensure the scalability and security of cloud systems.

• Utilizing CI/CD toolchains such as Maven and Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

• Managing cloud security frameworks, including Azure Sentinel, Azure Defender, and other security practices for cloud environments.

• Supporting cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, and leveraging services within these platforms for efficient cloud architecture.

• Collaborating with DevOps teams to integrate infrastructure and application deployment processes.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years specifically in Cloud Engineering (Azure, AWS, GCP).

• Experience in automating cloud infrastructure provisioning and using tools like Terraform.

• Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and services such as Azure Defender, and Azure Sentinel, and knowledge of NIST standards for governance and control.

Pay Details: $63.00 to $73.00 per hour
