Cloud Infrastructure Architect - Oxford Solutions, Inc

Oxford Solutions is working with a client looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join their team. Hybrid work schedule 3 days per week onsite.

In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting business and technology requirements to define and design architecture patterns that align with company goals. You will lead modernization initiatives, focusing on migrating from on-premise data centers to cloud environments. This is a critical role where you will be a key change agent, guiding technology transformation efforts.
 

Responsibilities

• Interpret business requirements to design and implement scalable, secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Lead cloud modernization initiatives, including migrating on-premise systems to AWS and Azure environments.
• Define common design patterns and architecture standards for cloud infrastructure to meet organizational needs.
• Provide strategic leadership in managing multi-layer web and cloud technologies, with a focus on multi-cloud environments.
• Serve as a change agent, communicating effectively with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and change.
• Manage and maintain a combination of on-premise and cloud-based data center infrastructures.
• Utilize Terraform to automate infrastructure deployment and configuration.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, translating technical solutions into business language.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in architecting, managing, and maintaining technology across a variety of disciplines.
• Professional-level certifications in AWS and Azure highly preferred.
• Extensive experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on multi-cloud environments.
• Proven expertise in migrating on-premise infrastructure to the cloud.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to act as a change agent within the organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills, capable of working independently or leading teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with both AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of modern data center management, including on-premise and cloud integration.
• Familiarity with multi-layer web architectures.
