Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Farmington, MI (Hybrid)

 Summary Statement
Working with the application development, cybersecurity, and infrastructure engineering teams to design, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. Deploy and debug cloud stacks, educate teams on cloud services, ensure the security of the cloud infrastructure, and stay updated on cloud-computing technology.
Identify the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the organization and maintain them in accordance with best practices and company security policies. Develop solutions to automate manual tasks and processes. Transfer corporate data onto cloud-computing systems. Troubleshoot and respond to technical issues in a timely manner.
Essential Tasks/Major Duties

• Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
• Developing solutions to automate manual tasks for improved speed and consistency.
• Modifying and improving existing cloud and on-premises systems.
• Educating teams on the implementation of cloud services.
• Championing our DevOps culture, principles, and practices.
• Designing, building, and deploying modular cloud-based systems.
• Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
• Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
• Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
• Interacting with development teams, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs.
• Responding to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Degree in computer science or similar field or equivalent years of experience.
• AWS, Azure, and/or OCI certifications preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in the field of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, OCI).
• 3+ years of Linux administration experience (RedHat, Oracle Linux).
• Strong experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible).
• Strong understanding of on-premises infrastructure (VMware, Cisco UCS).
• Experience managing containerized solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).
• Experience with CI/CD systems. (Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Experience with scripting tools (Python, PowerShell).
• Working knowledge of agile methodologies.
• Troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
