Cloud Project Manager
Position Summary:
- Work as an experienced cloud project manager to work with our engineering team to plan and manage multiple migration projects with various applications and ensure the security of the cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT consulting industry
- Must have 4 years of experience in each of the following:
- Leading architectural design, development, deployment, and technical quality of service delivery systems tooling solutions;
- Validating and evaluating system architecture to align with technical design specifications;
- Gathering business requirements;
- Utilizing ITIL, DevOps, and Agile frameworks;
- Collaborating effectively with account teams, client IT teams, and business process teams during pursuit and entire process for application implementation
- Experience working with Docker or Podman, Kubernates, and/or Openshift
- Experience with administrator on variety of Linux/Windows systems
- Must have 2 years of experience in Agile project management and IT quality process and policies in a validated environment
- Experience on data/DB migration
- Knowledge on cloud computing technology (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with networking, compute infrastructure such as servers, database, firewall, load balance, etc.
- Knowledge of system monitoring, capacity planning and understand architecture principles across infrastructure platform
- Experience with cluster configuration (Windows, Linux)
- Experience with information security practices and procedures
- Documentation skill using MS Office products.
- Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 30% of the time to meet client needs
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and/or support infra/application migration solutions for our clients, spanning simple IT projects to large-scale, enterprise-level change programs
- Conduct application architecture assessments and define solutions for complex problems that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Design/customize and execute migration workflows that incorporate technical steps to migrate or build infrastructure and application components
- Come up with cost reduction strategy and calculate/compare as-is vs. to-be TCO.
- Provide project's technical conscience, defining and driving right solution to meet technical performance, scalability, flexibility, operations, and capability needs
- Manage onshore and offshore resources, distribute responsibilities across team members, and report on status for assigned scope of work to client stakeholders
- Adhere to strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near-term goals
