RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Responsible for developing software, participating in acceptance criteria development
• Creating scripts and utilizing Open Source and COTS tools to automate testing
• Develop SOP document instructions/manuals
• Participating in integration activities
• Performs software engineering and development activities associated with supporting, maintaining, and enhancing software using an Agile DevSecOps model
• Develops and integrates bug fixes and new feature enhancements using standard development tools and processes (e.g., Java, Jira, Git, Junit)
• Designs and develops APIs and data access services for data feeds, and integrates microservices using the API gateway to enable enterprise access to data
• Supports trade studies/analyses of alternatives and assessments of potential technologies that may be applicable to the system, and provides recommendations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Specific degree/education and years of experience are dependent on unique contract requirements

• 4-20 years of Information Technology related experience (less than 4 years would be considered for a Junior role)
• Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related technical discipline degree
• Current technical certification in at least 1 discipline (Required)
• Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, or civilian Federal Government Agencies experience
• Knowledge and skill with the following;
• Enterprise Service Bus (or API Gateway equivalent) product
• Web Services/SOAP
• Java, Spring
• Bash scripting
• SOAP UI (or equivalent)with Java, Python, and PostgreSQL
• AWS, AWS CloudFormation
• Rest
• Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence
• JSON
• XML, SXLT
• XQuery/XPath

Desired Experience:

• 4 to 10 Years of experience with cloud services/architecture and software development tools
• 4 to 6 Years of experience with back-end development 
• 4 to 6 Years of experience with J2EE Web Development and Spring Boot 
• 4 to 6 Years of experience with frameworks, including Flask or Django 
• 4 to 6 Years of experience with API development, including REST architectural style 
• Knowledge of Agile methodology
• 4 to 10 Years of experience with JavaScript, Java Beans, JSP, JMS, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, CSS, DHTML, HTML or XML 
• 4 to 6 Years of experience with network security, including access and authorization for PKI and chain trusting 
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Git, and GitLab 
• Ability to understand front-end users' requirements
