Job Summary
Xumo is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator within a cloud environment to ensure IT compliance policies & protocols, while supporting all levels of business partners & leaders. Responsible for all aspects of office automation and system administration support including hardware, systems software, system performance, security and system network integration. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.Xumo, a joint venture between Comcast and Charter, was formed to develop and offer a next-generation streaming platform on a variety of branded 4K streaming devices and smart TVs. - Role is responsible for supporting people & managing processes with tracking and ensuring IT compliance & policy adherence, along with verifying user requirements.
- Also auditing system passwords, system security & appropriate reporting/documentation process.
- Position is office based in Irvine, CA- 4 days/week & 1 day/week remote.
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work for Comcast in the United States without a current or potential future need for sponsorship.
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
- Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience in AWS & Google Cloud platform
- Have an understanding of engineering ecosystem & security procedures, policies & compliance requirements
- Have a passion for security & understanding potential risks
- Strong ability to support all levels of employees within a growing organization with strong communication skills & ability to understand user needs
Core Responsibilities
- Studies program operating instruction sheets to determine equipment setup and run operations.
- Reviews, controls and schedules input data. Performs computer support functions such as updating software with new releases, maintaining access security, running backups, maintaining operating logs and maintaining data processing supplies.
- Continuously observes the operation of the console panel, storage devices, printers and the action of the console printer to monitor the system and determine the point of equipment or program failure.
- Adjusts computer operations when units of the system malfunction.
- Maintains operating records such as machine performance and production reports.
- Sets standards and audits those standards.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Salary:
Primary Location Pay Range: $90,736.15 - $136,104.22
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
