If so, The Pfister is looking for a part time Club Lounge Attendant to be a part of our team and continue its iconic legacy. As a Club Lounge Attendant you will set-up, stock and maintain a complimentary breakfast and evening buffet offering snacks, deserts and upscale hors d'oeuvres.
Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. What you will be doing:
- Monitor club lounge for seating availability, service, safety, cleanliness and well-being of guests.
- Act as an ambassador of the hotel by providing information about area attractions, Pfister history, hotel amenities and accommodating any special requests.
- Use a clear, understandable speaking voice, exercise judgment, and respond to inquiries with accurate information regarding hours of operation, menu items, beverage selections and other hotel services as needed.
- Facilitate all transactions and interaction to ensure a positive guest experience; including greeting/welcoming every club guest. Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, proper storing and labeling of all snacks, fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
- Maintain glassware inventory, and ensure cleanliness which may include the shining of glassware. Must adhere to all State, Federal, and company liquor regulations and policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
- Must be able to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required liquor service licensing, ServSafe and Responsible Beverage Service Training Certifications as well as any additional training/certification requirements per Marcus Hotels & Resorts.
- Ability to effectively deal with guest and fellow associate concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent and prior hospitality experience preferred.
- Must be detail-orientated, able to multi-task, produce high quality and accurate work as well as show professionalism in all facets of the workplace.
- Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times.
- Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
