Objective of the Job:
Support Cold Mill Maintenance in daily activities that increase and sustain operations availability. To support maintenance planning in all aspects of outage planning.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements and “where applicable” ResponsibleSteel requirements are followed.
2) Adhere to all established policies and procedures with respect to safety, environmental practices, quality and general BRS rules.
3) Develop and input all Mechanical/ Electrical P.m.’s in Maintenance management system (Guide-Ti).
4) Develop Task specific Mechanical/Electrical work procedures in Guide-Ti.
5) Inspect incoming spare parts using SMS drawings or equivalent to ensure correct parts are prepared pre-outage. 6) Build job kits for all outage task that require spare parts (pre-outage) ensuring successful completion of task.
7) Assist with weekly and monthly outage lockout activities, including audits of Energy Control Documents.
8) Assist with post outage line clean-up efforts and removal of all spare parts, tagging accordingly parts requiring refurbishment.
9) Support daily maintenance needs that add value to overall goal metrics. i.e. routes, housekeeping, inspections, and delay support.
Qualifications:
1) Safety Oriented
2) Demonstrate strong team orientation and positive attitude
3) Ability to interact with team members from various levels of the organization
4) Possess strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
5) Ability to interpret and understand mechanical or electrical schematics
6) At least 5 years of experience in skilled trades or equivalent
7) Excellent planning and organization skills
8) Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, Power point, and Project a plus but not mandatory
9) Ability to manage multiple task simultaneously
10) Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where standard work exists
11) Ability to operate common manufacturing mobile equipment: Forklift, Mobile Forklift, and Aerial Man lift
12) Understand and demonstrate proper lifting and rigging techniques with Overhead Cranes Working

The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle documents or reach with hands and arms and talk or listen. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may (depending on the area assigned) be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
