Job Details
Join our dynamic team as a Permanent CMM Programmer. This is a thrilling opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, innovative environment where you will be responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) systems to measure dimensions of aerospace components. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our aerospace products meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Program and operate CMM systems using PC-DMIS software to inspect and validate aerospace components.
2. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand the specifications and tolerances of aerospace parts.
3. Use geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles to measure complex aerospace components accurately.
4. Perform optical measurements and 3D scanning for non-contact inspection of parts.
5. Use gages and spectrophotometers to measure color and other physical properties of materials.
6. Ensure all aerospace components comply with the AS 9100 quality management system.
7. Prepare and present inspection reports, highlighting any non-conformance and suggesting corrective actions.
8. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
9. Maintain the CMM equipment and workspace to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a CMM Programmer in the aerospace industry.
2. Proficiency in programming and operating CMM systems using PC-DMIS software.
3. Extensive knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
4. Experience with optical measurements, 3D scanning, gages, and spectrophotometers.
5. Familiarity with the AS 9100 quality management system in an aerospace setting.
6. Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Excellent communication skills to present inspection reports effectively.
9. A degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or manufacturing technology, would be an advantage.
