Our services range from appendectomies to complex bowel resections to hernia repairs. Our unit is fast paced, and we are proud to hold some of the highest admission-discharge-transfer (ADT) rates in our hospital. This is a great opportunity to lead a dynamic floor that always puts their patients first. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** + Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse + Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating + Maintain a safe environment of care + Patient transportation + Prepare patients for surgery + Perform non-invasive lab procedures + Transport equipment and supplies + Assist with treatments + Perform various clerical tasks + Take vital signs **REQUIREMENTS** + Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) with the State of WashingtonAND + High School graduation OR equivalent education/experience + Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card **ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST** UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
