About the Job
Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders. From a humble beginning of the 99 students in 1964, CCC now serves more than 2,000 students annually.
In addition to a 57-acre main campus, CCC has a 60-acre farm used as a hands-on laboratory and training facility. The college also accommodates hundreds of off-campus students through face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses.
A number of studies conclude CCC is a solid educational investment. Colby has a strong history of student performance, including the highest graduation and retention rates among all Kansas community colleges.
Job DescriptionColby Community College is accepting applications for a part-time Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) instructor and a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) instructor to teach a class in the following CCC service areas: Colby, Hoxie, Norton, Oakley, Oberlin, and Phillipsburg.
COMPENSATION
$650 per credit hour. $3,250 for a 5-credit hour CNA class of up to 10 students; $2,600 for a 4-credit CMA class size of up to 6 students.

Qualifications- Current Kansas RN license required with no pending or current disciplinary actions.
- A minimum of two years of full-time licensed experience is required.
- One year of experience (RN or LPN) in a long-term care setting required in an adult care home or a long-term care unit of a hospital, or completed seven (7) hours of professional continuing education on person-centered care in a licensed adult care home or long term care unit of a hospital not more than one year before becoming an instructor of the nurse aide training course and each year while serving as an instructor.
- Supervising nurse aides, have completed a course in adult education or professional continuing education offering supervision or adult education, or have experience teaching adults.
- Regulations specify that the course supervisor and instructor have completed a course in teaching adults or have experience teaching adults or supervising nurse aides.
